Following hot on the heels of their new waterpark, Aquatica, SeaWorld have announced details of a new mega attraction due to launch midway next year!

more on this story

Aquatica, Orlando

This is owned and operated by the same company as SeaWorld, Busch Gardens and Discovery Cove, so there are a variety of ticket options available.  It is due to open in March 2008 and set to be the most technologically advanced Water Park in the world.  The main attractions are:

Dolphin Slides – The most stunning feature – Ride down a 300 ft clear tube through a crystal clear pool containing Black & White Dolphins.  The ride also features twin tubes, so you can race your partner.

Wave Pools – There are actually two huge pools which create waves up to 5 feet.

Eight-lane race – How great does this sound - For anybody with a competitive bone in their body, race against 7 of people at once through tunnels and round a 360 degree turn!

Family Raft ride – Allows the whole family to ride together through 600 feet of curves and tunnels

Adventure River – Zip along through 1500 feet of rapids, past waterfalls and Geysers

There are lots of other rides promised and we hope to be able to advise you about them from personal experience very soon!

Our Rating System is made up of 10 key performance indicators.  Here's why:

  • Brand Recognition – Are they well-known or a new-comer to the field
  • Brochure – Can you have a good flick through with a cup of Tea?
  • Website – All have them, but will you be whizzing though or reaching for a hammer!
  • Customer Service Standards – Low prices are all well and good, but are you going to get support when you need it and after splashing so much cash, when are you going to get your paws on the tickets?
  • Ticket / Park Knowledge  - Is somebody just trying giving you the hard sell or are you getting some informed advice about what is best for your holiday?
  • Real Tickets/ Vouchers – We really recommend avoiding vouchers for the major parks.  In peak seasons you can be waiting hours to exchange these for real tickets.  You need to also be sure that the voucher is good and can be exchanged.
  • Price – This will perhaps be the main driving factor and understandably so.  But do remember for the sake of a couple of quid here and there, you can sometimes get better advice, quick delivery and maybe even a few extra's thrown in!
  • Fees / Hidden Extras – As above.  Does the company you're booking with include any?
  • Delivery Times – Again, as mentioned above.  How long till you have the tickets in your hand.  If you're travelling at the last minute, it's always best to call ahead and check that the tickets are in stock.
  • Opening Times  - Want to speak to someone before parting with your money.  This lets you know who's open and when
