Hollywood Studios is part of Disney World Florida and was until recently known as MGM Studios (not to be confused with Universal Studios)
Yes there are similarities to Universal studios, but both are unique and each definitely worth a visit. Hollywood Studios is probably the liveliest Disney park with more rides than the others, combined with some really fantastic live stunt shows and maybe the opportunity to get involved in the action yourself! Add in some classic Hollywood theming, famous names and brilliant rides and you get our favourite Disney park.
Our favourite attractions - Rock ‘n' Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith, Tower of Terror, Star Tours
The whole of Disney World is one huge resort which we're told is about the size of greater Manchester! Unfortunately it's not all filled with rides – imagine that! Instead you have 4 different theme parks, 2 water parks, an evening entertainment district, a huge sports ground, and dozens of hotels. They are all linked by a series of main roads, but you can get from one to another very easily because there is a regular bus service. Don't worry, there's not much hanging around, they're a lot more efficient than over here! There is also a monorail between some parks and a river boat.
The other theme parks are:
The Magic Kingdom
Epcot
Animal Kingdom
There are also the highly rated water parks:
Blizzard Beach
Typhoon Lagoon
That's not all though, Disney World Florida also features a shopping, dining and entertainment zone called Down Town Disney. This is home to the fantastic Cirque du Soleil (not included in the price, but tickets are widely available in the UK), DisneyQuest, which is an indoor park full of virtual reality machines and Pleasure Island which is home various bars and night clubs.
