The Magic Kingdom is part of Disney World Florida.
It's the original and most famous Disney park with everything centred around Cinderella's castle. There are loads of rides in a series of themed worlds which include Main Street USA, Adventureland, Fantasyland, Frontierland and Tomorrowland. This is also the place where most of the major parades happen so be sure to check the timetable in City Hall (Main Street USA) to make sure you don't miss them. If you haven't been to the Magic Kingdom, you haven't been to Disney!
Our favourite attractions – Main Street Parade, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Mickey's PhilharMagic show
The whole of Disney World is one huge resort which we're told is about the size of greater Manchester! Unfortunately it's not all filled with rides – imagine that! Instead you have 4 different theme parks, 2 water parks, an evening entertainment district, a huge sports ground, and dozens of hotels. They are all linked by a series of main roads, but you can get from one to another very easily because there is a regular bus service. Don't worry, there's not much hanging around, they're a lot more efficient than over here! There is also a monorail between some parks and a river boat.
The other theme parks are:
Epcot
Animal Kingdom
Disney's Hollywood Studios
There are also the highly rated water parks:
Blizzard Beach
Typhoon Lagoon
That's not all though, Disney World Florida also features a shopping, dining and entertainment zone called Down Town Disney. This is home to the fantastic Cirque du Soleil (not included in the price, but tickets are widely available in the UK), DisneyQuest, which is an indoor park full of virtual reality machines and Pleasure Island which is home various bars and night clubs.
